A General Motors Mercosul apresentou suas novas instalações em Joinville/SC. O novo prédio de 46.800 m² vai abrigar seis novas linhas: duas de usinagem de blocos, duas de cabeçotes, uma linha de sub-montagem de cabeçotes e uma linha de montagem de motores. Ou seja o investimento da GM é quase R$ 2 bilhões.

Com a ampliação, a fábrica quadruplica de tamanho. Passando dos atuais 15 mil m² para 61,8 mil m². A capacidade anual será ampliada de 120 mil para mais de 420 mil motores, além dos blocos e cabeçotes produzidos. Serão criados em torno de 400 novos empregos diretos e indiretos.

O que a fabrica irá receber com o investimento da GM

A nova fábrica vai receber novas tecnologias de manufatura inteligente (4.0). Incluindo estações robotizadas, sistema autônomo de movimentação de materiais, sistema de monitoramento de processo através de câmeras, testes elétricos dos motores, gerenciamento de estoque e programação através de software conectado com a cadeia de suprimentos, entre outros.

Com a introdução dessas novas tecnologias. A produção será monitorada em tempo real. Através de sistemas de gerenciamento dos processos acessíveis através de “tablets” e “smartphones”.
